Trunk defines users as non-bot users who have made a commit to a private repo with Trunk enabled in the last 30 days. We do not count contributions to public (open source) repos. Contributor counts are displayed on the Settings page under Billing.
Yes! Use of Trunk in public (open source) repos does not count against your free tier limits.
Yes! We don't ask for a credit card to start using Trunk. Use it indefinitely in public (open source) repos with unlimited use, and use it in private repos up to the free tier limits above.
Try Trunk for free up to the Free tier usage limits (listed above). If you'd like a trial of the Team or Enterprise tiers, our team can set that up and provide real-time technical support and guidance. To get started, reach out here (sales@trunk.io), and let us know how many engineers are in your org and what trial type you're interested in.
Trunk uses soft limits, you won't be stopped from using it at any scale, but you will see a banner asking you to upgrade if you exceed the free tier limits. If you're using vastly more resources than your plan allows, we'll get in touch about upgrading to something suited to your needs. Trunk CI Analytics will allow you to see 30 days of backfilled data and 14 days of ongoing data for free. You'll always be able to see that data, but you won't be able to see new data going forward until you upgrade plans.
Trunk accepts credit card payments as a monthly subscription billed in USD. For custom billing and terms, you must be on the Enterprise plan.
You can cancel your Trunk account at any time.
